about RQW

 

 

RQ Women’s Support Center (RQW) was established on June 1, 2011, by a group of volunteers who had worked to support the people of the disaster-struck areas after the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011. Currently, our activities are centered in Tome City, Minamisanrikucho and kesennuma City in Miyagi Prefecture.

 

Our mission is to create various opportunities for women in these areas, so that they can fully utilize their capacity and thus play active roles in rebuilding their own communities. We value the viewpoint of women who are pillars of everyday life.
